Set up you EVA for Apple

Follow the quick steps below to finish setting up your EVA device.

Bluetooth Connection

    Go to your phone’s settings and enable Bluetooth.

    Then press and hold the side button on your EVA until you hear a beep. EVA is now visible.

  3. 3.

    In your phone’s Bluetooth list, look for “SOS Personal Alarm” and connect.

When you activate EVA, the device sends a signal to your phone via Bluetooth.Your phone then activates the SOS function, which alerts your emergency contacts and shares your location.

Note: This only works when EVA is connected to your phone via Bluetooth. EVA works internationally and uses the local emergency number based on the country you are in, provided your phone and network support it.

    Open the Settings app
    Go to your iPhone’s Home screen and open Settings.

  2. 2.

    Tap “Emergency SOS”
    Scroll down and select Emergency SOS from the menu.

  3. 3.

    Enable “Call with 5 Button Presses”
    Switch on the option Call with 5 Button Presses.
    Your iPhone will now call emergency services when the side button is pressed five times in quick succession.

Add your emergency contacts:

    Open the Health app on your iPhone.

    Tap the profile icon in the top right corner.

    Select ‘Medical ID’.

    Tap ‘Edit’ in the top-right.

    Scroll to the section ‘Emergency Contacts’.
  6. 6
    Tap ‘Add Emergency Contact’.
  7. 7
    Select a contact from your list.
  8. 8
    Choose the relationship (e.g. mother, partner, friend).
  9. 9
    Repeat these steps to add additional emergency contacts.
  10. 10
    Tap ‘Done’ to save.

When the alarm goes off for 10 seconds your phone automatically calls the emergency number.

An automatic message is sent to your emergency contacts.

3.

They receive a text message letting them know that you triggered an emergency alert and that they are set as an emergency contact.

4.

Your location is shared. The message contains an Apple Maps link with your current location. Location updates are sent continuously.

  • Your contacts receive location updates as your location changes.
  • You receive a reminder every 4 hours that your location is being shared.
  • You can stop sharing your location at any time.
